I am planning a Sunday day trip to Temecula to do some local Wine Tasting. I would like to know which wineries the group recommends. Here is my plan (I am still figuring everything out), I want to leave Sunday morning, probably rent a bus, visit 2 wineries, have lunch, hit 2 more wineries, and then return.
So please reply to this post. Let me know which wineries you have been to and like, and also which ones we should avoid.

So far I have heard good things about Ponte, Middle Ridge, Wilson Creek, and Palumbo...

There is also the 'Wine Collective' in downtown Temecula...usually does tastings with some other boutique wineries. They also serve appetizers.

Ponte has a great restaurant - seating is outdoors with a garden setting - very nice!

Awesome. I've done this for various meetup groups as a multi-limo tour, a grapeline shuttle, and as a party bus tour - my votes are for Leonesse, Callaway, South Coast, Thorton, and Weins!

Great idea! Have done Temecula a few times and it is always fun! My favs are Maurice Car'rie (great picnic lunch spot- they have a warm brie bread loaf that is to die for!), Ponte, Renzoni, and Thorton. Cheers!
